Pre-launch driver information. This page is not the final driver contract. Formal onboarding and participation require confirmed eligibility requirements and a reviewed agreement.
1. Current status
Ride is preparing to launch in Melbourne. We accept expressions of interest by email, but formal driver onboarding has not been announced. This page is driver information and a structure for the topics that must be addressed in a final driver agreement.
It is not an approval to drive, a final participation contract, an offer of employment or a promise of earnings.
2. Eligibility and regulatory requirements
Participation will be subject to applicable driver, identity, vehicle and regulatory requirements. Victorian commercial passenger vehicle drivers require driver accreditation, and vehicles used to provide those services are subject to registration and inspection requirements.
Check the current driver accreditation guidance and vehicle registration guidance from Safe Transport Victoria. These links are general official guidance; they do not establish that Ride has a particular regulatory approval.
Ride’s final onboarding process must confirm the applicable licence, identity, right-to-work, accreditation, vehicle, inspection, insurance and document requirements before participation. No vehicle age limit or unconfirmed eligibility rule is introduced here.
3. Expressing interest
Email support@ridemobility.com.au with your name, preferred contact details and the Melbourne area where you would like to drive. Please do not attach identity documents, licence scans or bank information to your initial enquiry.
Registering interest does not guarantee acceptance. We will provide the confirmed application steps when available. See the Privacy Policy for information about enquiry handling.
4. What the final agreement must cover
- Application, eligibility checks and any ongoing verification requirements.
- The roles of Ride and the driver, and the confirmed legal nature of their relationship.
- How trip offers, acceptance, bookings and service responsibilities operate.
- Any applicable platform fees, payment arrangements, adjustments and dispute process.
- Required vehicle condition, documents, insurance and regulatory responsibilities.
- Conduct, safety reporting, support, account restrictions and termination processes.
- Data use, privacy, record retention, consumer rights and dispute resolution.
These topics are a review structure. No commercial conditions are set by this list. The final agreement must be available for review before you decide whether to join.
5. Earnings and commercial conditions
Ride does not promise guaranteed income, hourly earnings, a minimum trip volume or particular costs. Fees, payment timing and other commercial conditions have not been published on this website and must be confirmed before onboarding.
Drivers should consider the final arrangements and their own costs and obligations before participating.
6. Safety, support and privacy
Read our Safety page for Ride’s intended approach and our Support page for the current contact channel. Live-service incident handling and support arrangements must be confirmed before public trips begin.
Required driver and vehicle information, verification providers, participant data sharing and retention must be checked against the actual onboarding implementation and final privacy policy.
7. Professional review before launch
Final driver terms are still required
A qualified Australian legal adviser should review the final driver agreement, regulatory requirements, insurance arrangements, commercial conditions and privacy notices before formal onboarding or public service. This page must be updated with the confirmed arrangements at that stage.
